Seisia
Seaview Lodge
The lodge is good basic single room accommodation.
All rooms are clean, neat, air-conditioned
and fully serviced. They have two single
beds, tea and coffee making facilities,
with a small {bar type} fridge to keep
any drinks icy cold {handy after a day
on the water}, and a shared toilet and
shower under a large covered area. Also
under cover is a BBQ area with tables
and chairs; a very relaxing area indeed.
Also available are share kitchen and laundry
facilities. Guests at the lodge have the
option at the end of the day to BBQ their
own meal or wander over to the Island
Breeze Restaurant for a meal; cooked breakfast
is also an option if wanted. Next door
to the restaurant is the kiosk, if you
prefer a take-a way at any time. |
Seisia
Villas
These are fully self contained, air-conditioned
and fully serviced Polynesian “A
Frame” units that sleep up to
six people. They feature all facilities,
stove, full size fridge, TV, bathroom
and laundry. For your meals you may
do your own cooking or wander over to
either the Island Breeze Restaurant
or the Kiosk and let somebody else do
all the work for you. Either option
Villa or Lodge it is only a very short
walk to the Seisia jetty, arguably Australia
best fishing jetty.

Camp-out
Camp-outs are run out of either the
Doughboy or McDonald rivers, about a
two and a half hour boat ride down the
west coast of the cape and into the
Gulf of Carpenteria. We run a comfortable
camp, but this is a true remote area
camping destination and as such I would
not rate the camp five stars, as a remote
area camp goes I would definitely call
it a three star camp. We are very proud
of our camp and put a lot of work into
it. Although the camp is not air-conditioned
nor do we have a restaurant or kiosk
to walk to the fishing does more than
make up for any short comings associated
with camping. The peace and quiet at
night is truly unique. The area where
we operate the camp from would have
to be the best office in the world and
I never tire of being there.
